Wonderful antique Just Suits Cut Plug Tobacco advertising tin made for Buchanan & Lyall of New York, New York. This early lithographed metal tobacco pail has a terrific red-and-gold advertising design reading “Just Suits Cut Plug,” along with the Buchanan & Lyall BL trademark.
These tobacco tins were commonly reused as lunch pails, storage boxes, and general-store advertising pieces. This one retains its hinged lid, wire lid handle, and original wooden carry-handle pieces. The wooden carry handle is in excellent condition.

This is in good antique condition with heavy, honest wear from age and use. It has paint loss, surface scratches, oxidation, rust, discoloration, worn graphics, and small dents or dings. The back has significant rust, while the front still displays beautifully with its original red-and-gold Just Suits graphics.
The hinged lid opens and closes, but the front latch does not latch correctly. Please carefully examine all photographs, as they are part of the description and show the exact condition.
